Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Mayacama Golf Club is seeking a talented individual for our open Assistant Superintendent position. The Assistant Superintendent works directly with the Director of Grounds and Lead Assistant Superintendent in preparing the golf course for daily play, planning projects as well as monitoring and scouting for any and all agronomic issues. 

The job is a hands on position that works closely with and supports the Lead Assistant in managing a crew of 22, is directly involved in a myriad of projects as well as participating in Club wide meetings and strategic planning. This position oversees and applies fertilizer and chemical applicaitons and is expected to participate and integrate fully into all Club Funtions and necessary meetings. 

A certificate or degree in turfgrass managment or related field is preferred.

Knowledge in Toro irrigation is helpful.

California QAC is a must, either currently or quickly able to obtain it.

Knowledge of Spanish is very helpful.
