Intern/AIT
An Alister MacKenzie design, Pasatiempo opened in 1929. Founded by Marion Hollins and built by Robert Hunter, Pasatiempo is a semi-private golf club. Experience Requirements
Minimum 1 season of experience on a golf course in maintenance
Interns will work closely with the Assistant Superintendent and staff on a variety of duties. Interns can expect exposure to all facets of golf course maintenance.
- Water management
- Pesticide and fertilizer applications
- Projects
- Irrigation repair
You will not be holding a hose and running a string trimmer all summer. Expect to learn! Past interns available for reference if you wish to learn more about the position from individuals who went through the program. We average 72 degrees during the summer.
Educational Requirements
Intern position currently enrolled in 2 or 4 year turf program or related field. AIT postition requires completion of 2 or 4 year turf program or related field.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, have excellent oral and written communication skills, a valid drivers license, clean motor vehicle history and ability to interact with members, managers, employees and guests.
Interns will receive a $600/month housing stipend
