Golf Course Superintendent – Valley of the Moon Club

CourseCo, Inc is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent for Valley of the Moon Club. Valley of the Moon Club is a year-round, 36-hole course property designed by veteran and renowned architect Ted Robinson Sr.

Responsibilities:

The golf course superintendent’s primary role is to provide best in class golf course conditions working with the maintenance team to ensure customer satisfaction.  The Superintendent will manage labor, time, materials, and finances in a manner that is compatible with the golf course business plan.

As superintendent at Valley of the Moon Club, you will communicate with employees, owners, customers, residents, vendors, suppliers, golf professionals and others in the golf industry. The superintendent also educates community groups about golf course and turfgrass management.

The superintendent embodies the company core value of Environmental Stewardship through conservation, regeneration, restoration, and sustainable practices.

Duties: Golf course maintenance including clubhouse landscapes and designated community areas. Responsible for executing budget and purchasing, equipment maintenance, fertilizer/pesticide application, trees, pond maintenance, Audubon Certification, and community outreach programs.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of working as an Assistant or Superintendent preferred. Ideal candidate will possess excellent agronomic, people and water management skills.

Ideal Candidate: Written and verbal skills are important. Must have strong relationship building skills, strong hiring, selection, and supervision skills. Excellent people skills: you will interface with government agencies, Golf Committees, and the residential community.

Compensation/Benefits: $120,000 to $135,000 annual salary, bonus potential, shared health Insurance, annual vacation, golfing privileges, GCSAA membership. Expenses for regional and national seminars, local chapter conferences and meetings upon approval. Dues for local chapter membership.

The Superintendent will report directly to the golf course general manager.
